I was thrilled when I was able to have the opportunity to be a tester for Hollywood Green Cloth Diapers. I am an admitted cloth diaper addict. I was excited to be able to pick a diaper for my little man, who is just 6 months old. His diapers are all hand me downs, or a few that I had made. I was able to pick the pattern for a list of choices already cut, and decide if I wanted a cover, pocket, or AI2 diaper.
I looked over the options and fell in love with the Tootsie Pop diaper cut, although it was hard to decide because I wanted them all. I decided to go with a pocket diaper, since those are my current favorites right now.
When my package arrived in the mail, I was overjoyed! I pulled it out and the first thing I thought was "It's so soft!!!". The next thing I did was check all the snaps. It sounds funny, but it's always what I do. I've been unfortunate enough to have a few diapers that the snaps won't hold together, or worse, they come apart from the actual diaper. Thankfully these worked perfectly. I then checked over the stitching. It looked very good, and as hard as I tried, I couldn't find the spot she turned the diaper.
Next, I put it through the wash with my normal diaper load, and tried it on baby Z. He seemed to really like it. Not like a 6 month old is going to say much, but he was happy and smiling, so I took that as a good sign. I love the size of the pocket for the insert. It was not too big or too small. I was able to easily get my insert(s) into the diaper without struggling to fit them and my hand inside.
I was able to adjust the rise to the second set of snaps and it fit his legs just right. Almost all my babies have been skinny minnies, and quite a few diapers aren't small enough to prevent a blowout. This is one of the few that did as it should. He's tested it several times, and so far so good.
I really don't have anything negative to say about my Hollywood Green Boutique pocket diaper. It's really about as good as a cloth diaper can be. Thank you Hollywood Green Boutique for your great diaper! I hope to use it for a long time.

I do a lot of cooking. With 11 people in our house, homemade is the cheapest and healthiest way to go. I am a huge fan of kitchen gadgets. If a family member gets me a gift, something for the kitchen is always a great way to go.
With all my cooking, I've tried several ways to mince garlic easy. I had a garlic press years ago, but really despised. It clogged, the garlic never came out the holes if the skin was left on, and was a HUGE pain to clean. I found it actually easier to peal the garlic and just mince it with a knife. Anyone who cooks with garlic knows that's not the most pleasant task.
I got this new garlic press/mincer a few weeks ago. I'll admit that I was more than a little skeptical due to past experiences. Boy did the Priority Chef Garlic Press and Mincer change my mind about everything!
I broke the garlic apart from the bulb and decided to do what it said I could. I left the skins on and pushed it down. It was easy to use AND the best part is that it worked perfectly!!! The skins stayed in the press. All the garlic was squeezed out! I used a butter knife to scrape the garlic off I to my crockpot (making potato soup), and then scraped the skins out with the knife.
How easy is that?! I'm so very happy! No more garlic hands! It's also very easy to clean! It separates into 3 sections, which allows for an easy clean up! I love my Priority Chef Garlic Press and Mincer! It made a believer out of me!

I am rather impressed by this flashlight. It is lightweight and has a very bright light.
I was happy to find it only takes 3 AAA batteries. Then it provided a blinding light. I found that out the hard way. I have no idea why I decided to turn it on toward my face. You would think I would know better.
I really only have one thing I dislike about the flashlight. When you push the power button a second time, the side light comes on. Normally that wouldn't be an issue. However, the bottom is just above the light on the side and, unless you click the button while pointing down, it will shine a super bright light in your face. (You can see in the first picture above that my thumb is on top of the button.)
Clicking the button a third time causes the side to have a flashing red light.
A fourth click of the button will turn it off completely.
One more surprise for me was when I went to pick up the flashlight. My keys were sitting next to it. As I lifted it up I thought that my keys somehow got jammed in the flashlight. I then saw that there is a strong magnet on the butt end of the flashlight! A great way to pick up metal objects dropped when fixing your car, or to stick the flashlight to a metal shelf when putting it away.
Overall, it's a great flashlight to keep in your car or at home.
I love trying different lotions. Some work really great. Others, feel more like scented shortening on your skin.
I was able to get some Argan lotion and body oil by Vitamins. When it first came, the box was a little damaged. The lotion top was turned to where the pump was able to dispense, but it looked like it only pumped out once. No big issue. Nothing was damaged, and not much lost.
I was excited to try the lotion out. I got it out of the package and tried it out. I was immediately happy with it. I've been using it for 2 weeks and still like it.
The scent is nice, and is one that a man might not mind. I use a combination if the oil and lotion on my husbands back when it gets really dry and itchy. It leaves his skin (and mine since I'm applying it) really soft and moisturized. There is a slight greasy feel at first, but it is absorbed quickly.

I was able to try out the Argan Leave in Hair Cream and Hair Oil by Vitamins.
I've been using it for the last week and want to share what I think so far.
I have long hair. It reaches my waist. I haven't cut it (not even a trim) in around 4 years. It's been through a lot in those years. I don't use a hair dryer or curling iron. However, it does go through a lot of weather, brushing, styling, and let's not forget kids pulling it. If I can find a product that will help my hair feel softer and healthier, I'll try it out.
I have been using Vitamins Argan Leave in Hair Cream and the Hair Oil for a week so far. I really enjoy it. I like the smell. It's pleasant and different than most others. I love how nice and soft my hair feels. The leave in cream and oil seem to help protect my hair, while also conditioning it.
One thing I will warn about is to not use too much. Just a little goes a long way. Just a small quarter size amount of the cream is what I used. After my shower I bend over, flip my head down, rub the cream in my hands and massage it into my hair, starting at the ends and working my way up. I do the same with the oil, only using a smaller amount and I only put it on the ends of my hair.
My hair feels great. I'm loving Argan by Vitamins.
Yes, I know I need a trim. It's on my 'to do' list. However, my hair is no longer frizzy at the ends.

I got free samples of Wisk Deep Clean from Smiley360. I was able to try several samples and see what I thought.
We are a family of 11. There are 2 active adults in the house, and 9 very active children. We always have laundry, and we always have stains. This was great to get to try out.
As I used Wisk Deep Clean laundry detergent I was very impressed at how clean it got our clothes, as well as how fresh they smelled. I love to smell my clothes as they come out of the laundry. LOL! This is a detergent you can do that with. It worked wonderfully when used to pretreat the clothes, and worked well at everything.
Thank you Wisk and Smiley360 for this opportunity to review your product!

I was chosen by Moms Meet (greenmomsmeet.com) to review Xlear SparX candy and tooth gel. I received the Fruit, Berry, and Citrus flavored candies, as well as the Natural Bubble Gum and Strawberry Banana flavored tooth gels.
This was the first time I had ever heard of the Xlear SparX products. What I like about them is that they are sweetened with xylitol (a plant-based sweetener) instead of sugar or other sugar free products. All the Xlear SparX candies are also free of artificial colors and flavors.
I want to write a little about xylitol, because it is a sweetener I had no knowledge about until the last year. Xylitol is a naturally occurring plant-based sweetener. It does not interfere with the body's blood sugar levels or insulin production, which makes it a great choice for children and adults on a sugar-controlled diet. Xylitol is also dentist recommended, and has been proven to improve dental health and strengthen tooth enamel.
When I opened the box and saw the samples I was excited. I love trying new, healthy products. The tooth gel was a special treat since it is not just sweetened with xylitol, but is fluoride free. We only use fluoride free products in our home, including filtering it from our drinking water.
I opened each candy container first. Who wouldn't get excited over trying candy? I was a little apprehensive at first. I have tried several "sugar free" candies and products. In my opinion, they always leave a bad aftertaste in your mouth. I've never been a fan of natural sweeteners sugar alternatives due to that, as well as the health risks associated with many of those.
I was fortunate enough to only have my 10 year old daughter in the room with me as I was able to sample the candies and taste the tooth gel (which is also safe to swallow) without fighting off all the other kids. We both tried 4 of each candy flavor, and a small drop of each tooth gel. I was very surprised at how good they tasted! The candies are small, but the flavor spreads through you mouth. They are not chewy, but do not explode into powder when bitten.
The tooth gel was easily squeezed out of the tube. A great texture. We both wanted more, but I decided to get more "reviewers" opinions. As a mother of 7, I have plenty of people to help try the products out.
For the candies:
My 14 and 10 old daughters, 4 year old son, and I all liked Citrus best.
My 8 year old daughter liked the Berry flavor over the others.
My 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter liked the candies all equally.
For the tooth gels:
My 14, 10, 8, and 5 year olds liked the Strawberry Banana flavors best.
My 4 and 2 year olds preferred the Bubble Gum flavor.
My 1 year old had no preference. He just wanted to eat them all.
The biggest issue I had with the candies and tooth gels were that my kids wanted them all the time. LOL! They wanted candy because it was so yummy (I agree). My 8, 5, 4, and 2 year olds came running with their toothbrushes. Then wouldn't stop brushing their teeth. I would say that is a good problem.
I feel these are great products. My kids love them. They taste great. I would definitely tell my family and friends about Xlear SparX products. I would even be more likely to buy these over other products due to the taste and health factors. Especially the tooth gels. It is hard to find a good tasting, natural, fluoride free toothpaste for kids. This is the first we have found that all of my children enjoyed and said they would happily use.
I give Xlear SparX candy and tooth gel my parent and child stamp of approval. It passed in our family with flying colors. This will be a product found in my house from now on.
